After being closed for re-roofing, window replacements and installation of new blinds, North Delta’s George Mackie Library re-opens to the public this Monday, Aug. 8.

In celebration of the re-opening, library staff invite customers to enjoy complimentary refreshments throughout the day.

“George Mackie Library staff appreciated the customers who visited the pop-up library at Sungod Recreation Centre for their patience and sense of humour,” said Dr. Sarwan Singh Randhawa, Acting Library Manager of the Delta Libraries. “In addition, library staff want to thank everyone at Sungod Recreation Centre for graciously accommodating us for almost two months.”

Full service will resume at the library. Patrons can once again browse the collection, utilize the public Internet stations, print from their colour printer/copier, and ask questions.

Babytime (Thursdays, 10:30 to 11 a.m.) and Storytime (Fridays from 10:30 to 11 a.m.) resume in the library beginning Aug. 11. Interested in additional programs? For in-person and virtual programs, check out the events page at www.fvrl.ca.
