Members of the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen have been hard at work in Diefenbaker Park over the past few weeks.

The community is invited to join Mayor Lois Jackson and members of the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen tomorrow to light up Diefenbaker Park.

Light up the Park, a festive family gathering set to begin at 4 p.m., will celebrate the season with over 16 trees lit up, including the big tree that will sparkle with over 1,700 lights.

For the past few weeks, local Rotarian volunteers have braved wind and rain to ensure the trees throughout the Rotary WaterWorks water park will be ready for Christmas viewing.

Tomorrow's event will include:

Free hot chocolate served by the SDSS Interact students

Carolling by Beach Grove students under the direction of teacher Karen Masters

Trees decorated by the Grade 5/6 class of Mr. Preddy of Pebble Hill Traditional School The Rotary Club of Tsawwassen offers a huge thank you to the following, without whom this project could not have been completed:

Frontier Excavating (Kevin)

Ross and Sylvia -Tsawwassen residents who graciously opened their home to a crew of muddy Rotarians, enabling them to have a dry and warm place to eat their lunch.
