In Delta Christmas celebrations will be brighter for 600 low income families with the Deltassist Christmas Hamper project, supported in part by all proceeds from a secure Shred-A-Thon planned by the Rotary Club of Ladner for Saturday, Nov. 7.

This year, because of pandemic restrictions, the families will receive a food purchase gift card rather than an actual hamper.

ShredWise will provide secure shredding services of old tax returns, credit card bills, business records, bank statements, and personal information documents, at $10 per banker box equivalent and by additional donation, if desired.

The Shred-A-Thon, sponsored by Ideal Door, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on a lot behind Eastlink (Delta Cable), at 5381 Ladner Trunk Road.
