It was standing room only last month when ElderCollege Delta brought Dr. Robert Blair to speak on genetically modified foods.
The emeritus professor of land and food sciences at UBC faced a number of frustrated listeners who expressed their views during a question-and-answer session following Blair's lecture, Are Genetically Modified Foods Safe?
The free presentation held at Cedar Park Church in Ladner offered an introduction to ElderCollege courses designed for those 50 and older.
Many courses for the fall semester are fully booked but among those that still have space are Spanish Intermediate, Allo, Bonjour - Conversational French, Bee Keeping, Canadian Short Stories, Opera, Catastrophic Earth, Travel Experiences and Wining Dining with Wellbrook.
