Toys and Tunes collects record high donation for Deltassist

Thanks to the generosity of the community and the volunteers who hosted the event, Christmas will be a bit brighter for many less fortunate in our community.

In November, the Tsawwassen Legion hosted its annual Toys and Tunes fundraiser for Deltassist.

Bands Keelhaul and Southside Vibe played to an appreciative audience, while there was also an appearance by the Delta Police Pipe Band, a 50/50 draw, Toonie Toss and a silent auction.

A record high of close to $6,000 in donations as well as more than 50 brand new toys were collected.
