Tsawwassen author Marie Warder is having a blast with her latest endeavour, creating children's e-books.

"I'm having the time of my life," says the veteran author about her new series, which she's calling Little Kindle Tales for Little People.

Stories titled How Juanita Found a Friend and was Never Lonely Again and How Timothy Thom Became A Very Nice Boy are available for download on Amazon's Kindle Store.

"It's such fun to write for kids," said Warder, a former reporter originally from South Africa who has over 20 books to her credit.

Warder, who uses voice recognition software to write due to health problems, notes writing longer books is too tiring for her now but that creating children's stories is something that can keep her busy.

She said she loves telling stories to children, something she's always done with her nieces and nephews.
