The Tsawwassen Lawn Bowling Club (TLBC) welcomed Delta MP Carla Qualtrough and Mayor George Harvie to the Winskill Fieldhouse and lawn bowling green on Saturday, April 6 to official open the 2024 season.
They along with councillors Dylan Kruger and Rod Binder participated in the throwing of the ceremonial bowls.
There were more than 80 members of TLBC in attendance who enjoyed the ceremony, a barbeque lunch, and an afternoon of “fun games” out on the green.
The club will be hosting two open houses, scheduled for Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 from noon to 3 p.m. The public is invited to come and give the sport of lawn bowling a try. The club offers a varied calendar of events to choose from, drop-in daily draws, monthly aggregates, tournaments, fun exchange games with other clubs.
