Ladner's Alec Morgana is aiming to help people affected by the recent earthquake in Nepal with his latest venture.

Morgana, along with friend Chris Ceraldi, both 21, are selling their Cases4Cause iPhone cases through an Indiegogo campaign.

Every time someone buys a case, they provide a solar light and a meal to someone in Nepal, he says.

Morgana, who started making mobile apps when he was a teenager, says the important part of their two-piece case is the multi-colour logo on the back, with the different colours representing health, mental health, the environment and water.

The case is for iPhone 5, 5S and 6. "We are still business people at the end of the day but we wanted to really show that you can be in business but make the world a better place," says Langley's Ceraldi.

The Indiegogo campaign ends Aug. 22 at midnight.

The massive earthquake hit Nepal in April, killing and injuring thousands.
