Longstanding volunteers were recognized by the Delta Hospital Auxiliary Society earlier this year. The society is looking for more helpers.

The Delta Hospital Auxiliary is looking for more volunteers.

Auxiliary presents Yvonne Chard says application forms can be picked up at the Ladner Thrift Store or printed from the auxiliary website (https://deltahospitalauxiliary.org/volunteering/) and then dropped off at the Thrift Store or the hospital lobby volunteer desk.

Volunteering with the auxiliary is a chance to meet new friends, help to make a difference in your community and to help provide care and comfort for patients of Delta Hospital.

The hospital volunteers provide a valuable service to patients, families, and staff by performing a variety of support functions throughout the hospital. Opportunities within the hospital include residential care programs, acute care programs and junior volunteer programs.

Outside the Delta Hospital, the Thrift Store volunteers sort, price, display and sell gently used items of household, clothing and furniture donated mindfully by a generous community.

The auxiliary office is the headquarters for membership information, conference news, event planning, vendor sales program and council meetings as well as bookkeeping, supplies, photocopying and the sign-in book for all hospital volunteers.
