The 2004 Delta Invaders girls fastpitch team stuffed stockings for the second year in a row to spread some Christmas cheer to those less fortunate in the community.

For the second year in a row, the 2004 Delta Invaders girls fastpitch team stuffed stockings for girls their age who might be in need of a holiday boost.

Each girl contributes personal money to the stockings and team funds help supply scarves, mittens and other winter necessities. The Invaders stuff the stockings with everything from bath bombs and candles to perfume and chocolates – all the things 14-year-olds would love to receive at Christmas.

“Our girls are very fortunate to play fastpitch and they recognize that some youth their age aren’t as lucky,” said Invaders head coach Ed Selinger. “Last year this was their favourite team building event and I am so proud that they wanted to do it again – they really understand the true meaning of Christmas.”
