Dialogue on overdose crisis set for Ladner’s Harris Barn

Fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opiate, remains the primary culprit behind the epidemic of overdosed, which are now the leading cause of preventable deaths in B.C.

Residents are invited to an upcoming Delta Real Talk event, a dialogue on overdose and naloxone training.

Hosted by Delta Real Talk in partnership with the Delta Community Action Table on overdose response and funded by Fraser Health, the event is on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harris Barn (4140 Arthur Dr.) in Ladner.

Learn about how the overdose crisis is affecting the South Delta community. The evening will feature an interactive opportunity to engage with community members, individuals with lived/living experience and professionals, while discussing and learning about the overdose crisis. This will include a question and answer session. There will also be free naloxone training at the end of the night.
