The Delta Fishing Heritage Society is holding its annual fundraising dinner and concert at Ladner Fishermen’s Hall next weekend.

Set for Saturday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m., the evening will include a salmon/roast beef dinner, cash bar, silent auction, 50/50 draw and music by The Karmichaels.

The silent auction will feature a limited edition print of John Horton’s recent painting of sailing ships at historic Port Guichon as well as works by Richard Mayer, Ulf Ottho and Donna Hartnell.

“The proceeds from this event will be directed to the restoration of the Persian Fisher, a historic Fraser River gillnetter,” said Delta Fishing Heritage Society president John Stevens. “We hope that our community will again support this very worthwhile event.”

Tickets are $35 each and are available at Angela’s Boutique at 604-946-5211 or John Stevens at 604-946-9902. Deadline for ticket sales is Feb. 11.
