Looking for a connection on Christmas Day? Missing family or friends? Then why not check out the Jingle & Mingle Community Christmas Dinner in Ladner.
The fourth annual free Christmas Day dinner, hosted and organized by Jeff, Shirley and TJ Brown, will be held this year at All Saints Anglican Church hall (4755 Arthur Dr.) with doors opening at 3:30 p.m. and dinner at 5 p.m.
“With each year the attendance and our connection with the community grows,” says Jeff. “We continue to host this event to show our appreciation for the many years that this community has supported our family.
“This event is a wonderful way to create a fun, loving space for people who are new to our community, people who are alone on Christmas Day and/or people who want to share and connect with others.”
Besides the home-style Christmas dinner, there will be live music and a chance to socialize with others in the community. Come early and play some cards, board games, etc., the Browns encourage.
Volunteers are welcome and Jeff says many hands makes for light work.
“Our gratitude goes out to the kind support we received from the many volunteers and local businesses in the past years,” he says.
