The 11.2-kilometre fun run around Point Roberts has been organized by the RunInn Delta in Tsawwassen for the past eight years, with all money raised donated to the Hannah’s Heroes Foundation, which helps fund research for child brain stem cancer.

This year the annual race raised $2,000 for the local charity.

“The race is an old school fun run,” says Kevin Ridley, owner of the RunInn. “Everyone who finishes the race gets a jug of beer at the Reef and we have a barbecue, prizes and great music. Almost everyone stays after the run as this is the fun part of the run.”

This year the race was won by Joshua Weiss in a time of 42:50; the women’s race was won by Courtney McEwan in course record time of 44:51.
