Roxi the Rescue Dog is set for another adventure.
South Delta author Carolyn Drew is getting set to release the fourth book in her humane education children’s book series featuring Roxi the Rescue Dog.
Her series aims at reducing animal cruelty through children’s books with age-appropriate content and illustrations.
Drew said she is especially excited to launch this book, as all the watercolour images have been illustrated by her daughter, Carly Drew (@CarlyDrewDesign).
Roxi the Rescue Dog Helps the Tigerswill launch on Amazon on Sept. 1 and will be available to order from local bookstores by mid-October.
Drew is offering a special “Back to School” project for educators of primary students (K-3) interested in producing a Roxi the Rescue Dog Animal Compassion Book with their class.
“This is a super fun way for students to research an animal issue and choose which animal their class wants Roxi to help next,” said Drew. “The most exciting part is that they get to see their finished work as an actual published book.”
The project incorporates a variety of learning outcomes with the option of remote or in class work. Interested teachers can email the author with the subject line: Animal Compassion Book.
