Three 65-foot trees in Memorial Park are being decorated in preparation for next weekend’s Christmas Tree Lighting hosted by the Ladner Rotary Club.
The second annual event takes place on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Delta Mayor George Harvie and Ladner Rotary Club president Bridget Jacob are scheduled to light the trees at about 5:30 p.m.
The event will also feature activities inside the adjacent Lois E. Jackson Kinsmen Centre for Children building, including photos with Santa, craft tables, hot chocolate, cookies, candy canes, a choral group and a mailbox for letters to Santa.
Santa is expected to arrive about 4:30 p.m.
