Botanus co-owners Wendy Leroux and Pamela Dangelmaier will be speaking to the South Delta Garden Club members and guests on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Experienced gardeners looking for unique garden additions and novices with an adventurous spirit will find their presentation, Fall in Love with Unusuals, both novel and practical.

It was 19 years ago when a small mail-order company began in earnest through the complementary efforts of three expert women gardeners. Today, Botanus has grown to become a popular Canadian gardening company and website offering an ever-expanding line of bulbs the owners ship throughout the country.

The local presentation starts at 7:30 p.m. at Ladner Christian Reformed Church (4594-54A St.). South Delta Garden Club members are free to attend, while there is a $5 fee for guests.

Botanus bulbs will also be offered for sale before the meeting (cash only).

The club is comprised of 200 local gardening enthusiasts, men and women who gather to share information in a positive social environment. Club activities include day tours, visits to members’ gardens, workshops, work parties and fundraising events to support community projects.
