Tsawwassen Special Olympics athlete Kim Davies carries the torch last Friday afternoon as Delta police officers joined others from law enforcement agencies around the Lower Mainland on the final leg of the 2017 BC Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics B.C. The final leg included a run through Ladner to Delta police headquarters for a wrap-up celebration and barbecue. During the four-day event, 500 law enforcement members joined 80 Special Olympics athletes to run through 18 communities. Since 1990, the event has raised more than $3 million.Gord Goble
