The leaves are falling, there's a chill in the air - it's time to prepare for hibernation.
Luckily, there's an opportunity to prepare yourself by getting a nice stack of new reading material to enjoy over the winter.
All Saints Anglican Church in Ladner hosts a Giant Book Sale on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Any donations of used books would be gratefully received.
All Saints is celebrating its 135th anniversary this year and is working toward updating the building at the corner of Arthur Drive and Ladner Trunk Road in order to continue running its free monthly community meal, Messy Church and other community events.
The church wants its building to serve as a local hub for Ladner for many more years to come.
