Anthem singers needed for Hockey Day

A call is being put out for singers interested in performing the national anthem at hockey games during Hockey Day in Canada next Saturday in South Delta. Singers are being encouraged to enter a draw, which is open to all ages.

A call is being put out for singers interested in performing the national anthem at hockey games during Hockey Day in Canada next Saturday in South Delta.

Singers are being encouraged to enter a draw, which is open to all ages. Winners

will be randomly selected.

Games will take place at Tilbury Ice, South Delta Recreation Centre and Ladner Leisure Centre. Times may vary from 6:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, Feb. 10. Entries can be submitted online at http://vancouverlocations.weebly.com.

South Delta Minor Hockey will be the official West Coast location for Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada on Saturday, Feb. 14 with the Ladner Leisure Centre being home to a live remote national broadcast.

The day will kick off with a free pancake breakfast, live music, all kinds of activities and the grand re-opening of the newly renovated centre.
