Comedy show to benefit school trip

Four comics join forces next weekend to raise money for South Park trek

In the mood for some laughs?

Comics Ivan Decker, Kyle Bottom, Billy Mitchell and Mark Tizya will be performing at a fundraiser at the Tsawwassen Arts Centre next Saturday.

They’ll be joined by singer/guitarist Jarome Lochkrin.

“It’s going to be a killer show,” says Mitchell, an experienced Tsawwassen comedian who will serve as host and emcee.

Both Decker, a former Ladner resident, and Bottom, a South Delta Secondary grad, performed with Mitchell at an event earlier this year.

“They’re both great acts,” he says.

They have both performed at Just for Laughs festivals.

Tizya, “a tremendously jolly fellow,” is a former student of Mitchell’s, who taught a stand-up comedy class in Tsawwassen a few years ago.

The upcoming comedy night is a fundraiser for a South Park Elementary’s 2015 Quebec trip.

Tickets will not be available at the door. Advance tickets are available at Lucky Surf & Skate and Albany Books, or email [email protected].

Tickets are $20. The event is for those 19 and up. Doors open at 7 p.m. Showtime is 8 p.m.
