- The South Delta Therapeutic Touch Network meets every second Wednesday of the month at the Natural Comfort Wellness Centre, Tsawwassen. The next meeting is Oct. 12. - A fall volunteer training program will take place at the Harold & Veronica Savage Centre for Supportive Care in Ladner starting Oct. 13, running Monday and Thursday mornings until Nov. 17. If you are interested in becoming a trained Delta Hospice volunteer, please call coordinator of volunteers, Chris Colero at 604-948-0660. A pre-course interview will be scheduled so that participants will have a clear understanding of the course and the expected commitments.

- Tsawwassen United Church will hold a Fall Fair on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 69353rd St. (across from high school). Baking, crafts, pies, Grannies Attic, food and much more.

- Family Grief Group Program - Children & Parents: Dr. Heather Mohan, RCC, will be holding a Children's Grief Group for children 5 to 12 years old who are grieving the death of a parent, sibling, grandparent or other significant person. A Parent's Grief Group, facilitated by Marg Fletcher, RCC, will be held at the same time. The groups, starting Oct. 18, run on Tuesdays from 4: 30 to 6 p.m. every other week throughout the school year. FUND RAISERS

- The fifth annual Charitable Pub Night Fundraiser, sponsored by Ladner and Richmond Jazzercise, is set for Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Sundance Pub banquet hall, 6574 Ladner Trunk Rd. - Reserve the date Saturday, Oct. 22 and the time - 7 p.m. for a special evening. The South Fraser Gogos are hosting a fundraising dinner in support of the African grandmothers. We hope you'll join us for a night of good fun for a great cause at the Banquet Hall at the Sundance Pub in Ladner. We'll have door prizes, games of chance and a silent auction with something for everyone. The meal is your choice of a steak dinner or a vegetarian lasagna with a drink.
