1, from 7: 30 to 9: 30 p.m. at Deas Island Regional Park. Follow the flight of these fascinating mammals. Listen to their hunting sonar using a bat detector as they dash and dart in search of mosquitoes and moths.

?Always a big hit, Mad Science is back to wow you with their incredible Fire and Ice show. Discover the cool chemistry behind the states of matter, and learn the intriguing basics of air pressure. Scissors will unexpectedly sizzle and carbon dioxide will bubble as the chilling properties of dry ice are revealed.

Be amazed when a ball is suspended over the audience, and marvel at the strength of your own lungs with radical air pressure experiments. One hour of pure family entertainment. Shows are Wednesday, Aug. 1 from 10: 30 to 11: 30 a.m. at George Mackie Library, 1 to 2 p.m. at Tsawwassen Library and 3: 30 to 4: 30 p.m. at Ladner Pioneer Library.

?The Tsawassen SunFest Music Festival takes place over the B.C. Day-long weekend from Aug. 3 to 6 with bands, musical events and concert performances at the Winskill Park Main Stage, the Tsawwassen Arts Centre and various outdoor venues around town including Earthwise Garden, Petra's and Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall.
