A fundraising concert for the Delta Community Music School’s Thrive City String Boot Camp will be held tomorrow in Ladner.

It will feature performances by Infinitus, Stephen Robb (clarinet), Jonathan Der (violin) and a select few of the boot camp students.

The boot camp is a 10-day retreat for serious intermediate-advanced violinists, violists and cellists. It’s aimed at helping young and amateur string players from diverse backgrounds develop into technically proficient, creative musicians who serve their communities and inspire others. It will take place in Mission at Hatzic Lake this summer.

In addition to providing scholarships to outreach students, organizers are subsidizing a portion of every student’s tuition to make the camp more affordable.

The concert is set for Saturday, April 11 at 7 p.m. at All Saints Anglican Church, 4755 Arthur Dr. There will also be a silent auction.

Admission is by donation (suggested donation is $20).
