Phoenix Art Workshop and the Travellingbrush.com have announced their Grand Prix of Art is expanding to Delta.
The Corporation of Delta and the Artist in the Village Society have joined as host partners in the 2015 Grand Prix of Art Circuit B.C. The Delta event will take place July 19, followed by one in Qualicum Beach on July 25.
The circuit winds up Sept. 19 with an event in Steveston, which is now in its sixth year.
Participating artists are assigned a painting location by lottery, where they will have three hours to complete their work before submitting them for display and adjudication. Artists are then treated to lunch, entertainment and an awards ceremony where cash prizes are given out.
