Delta Photo Club presents Exposed exhibit

On display at Firehall Centre for the Arts in North Delta

The Delta Photo Club is presenting Exposed, an exhibition of members’ works at the Firehall Centre for the Arts until March 30.

The collected works, on a variety of photographic mediums up to five feet in size, showcase the range of interests and talents of club photographers.

An opening reception, with artists in attendance, will be held Friday, March 6 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Serving Ladner, Tsawwassen and North Delta, the Delta Photo Club also has members from Richmond, Vancouver, Surrey, White Rock and the U.S. Membership is open to anyone having an interest in photography regardless of skill level.

Members have an opportunity to learn more about their hobby, craft or profession and to share individual photographic knowledge or experiences with other members. The club nurtures many talented photographers whose interests cover a wide range of disciplines, including portraiture, photojournalism, fashion, street photography, advertising, documentary and fine art.

The club is an active and social group with weekly programs and seasonal field trips.

The club, which has about 80 members, meets Wednesdays, from September to May, at the KinVillage Community Centre from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Additional critique and instructional sessions are also scheduled.

The Firehall Centre for the Arts is located at 11489-84th Ave., North Delta. Hours of operation are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
