ElderCollege offers variety of courses in spring semester

ElderCollege Delta will be holding a pair of registration days in advance of the spring semester beginning next month. Registration will take place on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall from 10 to 11: 30 a.m. and on Tuesday, Feb.

Registration will take place on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall from 10 to 11: 30 a.m. and on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Save-on-Foods in Ladner from 11: 30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

ElderCollege's spring semester will run from March to early May.

Courses offered this term include: Beginners and Intermediate Bridge, Computers, Digital Photography, Exploring Your iPad, Gardening, History and Current Issues, Literature, Opera, Philosophers' Café, Religion, and Sudoku & Kakuro.

Special field trips include a guided trip on B.C. Ferries to Sidney, a spring visit to VanDusen Gardens and a guided trip by public transit to Horseshoe Bay.

Three free presentations, open to all in the community, are scheduled: Helping Combat Alcohol & Drug Abuse in Delta on April 5, Righting Past Wrongs on April 6 and Understanding More about Coastal Oil Tanker Traffic on May 4.

ElderCollege Delta is open to all 50 years and over. Participants learn in a relaxed, risk-free and social environment.
