The Delta Youth Support Link Society’s Encore & More fashion show is right around the corner.
The event, set for next Friday, will include casual, semi-formal and formal wear, notes DYSL executive director Kim Davidson.
All of the clothing will be brand name, she says, listing BCBG, Gucci and Banana Republic as examples.
“There isn’t a single item that’ll be worn that’ll be over $30 in that show,” she says.
Models will include youth and senior volunteers and customers of the DYSL WearHouse Thrift Store.
The show, which will include clothes for all ages, is the big fundraiser for the society’s bursary program, says Davidson.
Last year the society gave out over $30,000 worth of bursaries to students at Delta high schools.
The fashion show will also include catered refreshments, live music, a silent auction, a 50/50 draw and door prizes.
It takes place Friday, Dec. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fireside Room at South Delta Baptist Church, 1988-56th St., Tsawwassen.
