Are you a student in high school? Do you like movies? What if you could make movies or act in them or create effects for them in school?
Well, you can. If you don’t know the name of the Delta Film Academy, then come out on Saturday, April 13 to check out their Open House at the Delta Manor Education Centre (4750 57 Street) in Ladner from 10 a.m. to noon to learn more.
Any students in grades 8 to 12 enrolled in a Delta school or homeschool program can participate and gain credits for graduation doing what they love.
There are three programs to choose from: Film Acting, Film Production and Visual Effects and there is space in all three programs for the 2024/25 school year.
Students in each stream get plugged into Vancouver’s Film Industry with instruction from industry professionals, field trips to studios, access to up-to-date gear and software to get a jumpstart on a career in one of Vancouver’s largest industries.
They further gain a supportive and fun-loving creative community with students that live all over Delta.
