The Hannah's Heroes Foundation is hosting the third annual Merry Wisher Golf Tournament on Thursday, May 31 at Mayfair Lakes Golf and Country Club in Richmond.

The foundation was established in 2007 to raise awareness and funds for pediatric brain cancer research.

It was founded in honour of Hannah Hatlen, a Tsawwassen youngster who was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor in 2005. She died a year later at the age of five.

All proceeds from the golf tournament will go to the Child and Family Research Institute, which carries out pioneering research to help find a cure for pediatric brain tumors.

The tournament starts with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6: 30 p.m.

Entry costs $160 per golfer or $50 for dinner only.
