Holly Burke and the Naturals will hit the stage at Genesis Theatre next Friday.
The show is the latest offering of the live@5005 concert series.
Burke, a Vancouver composer/lyricist/flutist/vocalist/pianist, has been on the scene for decades “quietly persisting to produce creative, texturally rich and evocative music that often transcends genre,” her website states.
She has performed on CBC TV and Radio, NPR, CITR, the San Diego Jazz Festival and the Vancouver Du Maurier Jazz Festival.
Her CD, Nature Girl, was conceived during a six-month sojourn in the Costa Rican rainforest.
The band includes Bill Runge, Kristian Alexandrov, Brent Gubbels, Randall Stoll and Nick Apivor.
The concert is set for Friday, Jan. 23 at 8 p.m. Doors are at 7:30 p.m. It costs $15 at the door, cash only, on the night of the performance.
