Delta has a new musical idol.
On Saturday night, Nov. 18, an eager crowed packed into the North Delta Centre for the Arts to witness Delta’s youth compete for the title of Delta Idol 2023.
Through inspired performances, finalists between the ages of 16 and 18-years-old, made it difficult for the judges to decide who would win the crown. Song selection was unique, including a variety of genres from pop, hip-hop, pop folk, musicals, and even an original song. Every single performance was entertaining and heartfelt.
Congratulations to our 2023 Delta Idol – Mateo Mazari!
Mateo charmed the judges and audience to claim the crown. Phenomenal performances earned Zoe Rapos the first runner-up and Kristie Lind the second runner-up.
