A commitment of a mere hour a week can enhance your relationship with your child.
The Parent-Child Mother Goose program at Delta libraries shares traditional rhymes, songs and stories as tools to strengthen the bond between parent and child, newborn to 15 months.
This established program helps parents gain confidence while their child develops language, cognitive and social skills.
An added benefit is the opportunity for the adults, over snacks, to build a network of friendships and support.
Parents that would like to take part in this free inter-active program are asked to contact their local library to register.
The program is offered at the following times and locations:
. Mondays at 10: 30 a.m., from Jan. 7 to March 18, at the George Mackie Library in North Delta. Call 604594-8155 to register.
. Fridays at 12: 30 p.m., from Jan. 11 to March 15, at the Ladner Early Childhood Development Hub, 205-5000 Bridge St. Call the Ladner Pioneer Library at 604-946-6215 to register.
