Sharon Wright’s latest show runs for the month of April at the Ladner Pioneer Library.

Photographer Sharon Wright visited a local family blueberry farm to collect images for her new exhibit, which is now on display at the Ladner Pioneer Library.

Ripe for the Picking includes 10 black and white photos of people working at Bancy Farms.

One of the shots is a close-up of a man’s hands picking blueberries.

“I got the shot I wanted so I was really happy. That’s the shot I’m most proud of,” says Wright.

The Ladner photographer visited the farm, where she buys her blueberries, on a bright and sunny day last August. Workers were wearing hats to protect from the sun, making the photography technically difficult. Wright doesn’t use a flash and didn’t bring a reflector.

“It was just me and my camera.”

Wright had help selecting which images to include in the show from her photography art group.

The show runs for the month of April at the Ladner Pioneer Library, 4683-51st St.
