In a celebration of artistic prowess and a nod to the legacy of the South Delta Artist’s Guild, the Artful Legacy exhibition is set to captivate art enthusiasts from Feb. 16 to 25.

This tribute show will shine a spotlight on the creative talents of several distinguished artists, paying homage to their significant contributions to the Guild.

The featured artists are Geoffrey Hacker, Faith Love-Robertson, Lennart Osterlind, Sandra Taylor, Jean Thompson, and Lorna Wladichuk. Also included in the show is a poignant tribute to the late Noreen Fairweather.

The exhibition promises a diverse array of artistic expressions, showcasing the unique styles and perspectives of each participating artist. From the vibrant landscapes of Hacker to the intricate and soulful creations of Love-Robertson, attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of artistic brilliance.

The official reception is this Saturday, Feb. 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. offering art enthusiasts a chance to meet and engage with the talented artists behind the captivating pieces.

Light refreshments will be served, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests to appreciate the art on display while engaging in meaningful conversations with the creators themselves.

With most of the featured artists expected to be present, this event is not only an exhibition but also a unique opportunity for the community to connect with the artists and gain insight into the inspiration behind their masterpieces.

The South Delta Artists Guild is located at Gallery 1710 on the south side of the South Delta Rec Centre at 1710 56th Street. The Gallery is open from Friday to Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
