Denys Panchenko, renowned classical guitarist, and composer recently arrived from Kharkiv is coming to Tsawwassen for a benefit concert.
Like many Ukrainians, he has had to leave his homeland to join his wife and son here in Canada.
Panchenko has performed solo recitals throughout Ukraine, and he has played with many orchestras as a soloist. His original compositions have been performed in various countries and competitions. The concert will feature many composers, including his own work.
All Ukrainian newcomers are invited either pay as you can or come for free.
Tickets for the public are $25 in advance from Eventbrite, or $30 at the door.
The concert is Saturday, April 13 at 7 p.m. at St. David’s Anglican Church (1115-51a St., Tsawwassen).
