Get ready for an extraordinary musical experience as Trio Seoul takes centre stage at the Vancouver Chamber Music Society’s Delta Series, hosted at the South Delta Baptist Church on Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Renowned violinist Jinjoo Cho, acclaimed pianist Kyu Yeon Kim, and virtuoso cellist Brannon Cho, unite their talents to deliver a performance that transcends boundaries and captivates audiences.

Since its inception in 2022, Trio Seoul has quickly become a beacon of excellence in the classical music scene, boasting an impressive array of collective accolades from more than 20 international competitions. Now, they’re poised to mesmerize audiences with a program that pays homage to their cultural roots and showcases their artistic prowess.

At the heart of Trio Seoul’s program lies Anton Arensky’s evocative Piano Trio No. 1 in D major, a masterful composition that weaved Korean folk melodies into its fabric during a time when Japan invaded Korea. Commissioned as a companion piece, Korean composer Uzong Choe’s “Scattered Dreams” takes audiences on a breathtaking journey, reimagining the same ancient folk tunes through a post-modern lens, creating a mesmerizing soundscape that resonates with depth and emotion.

Join the Vancouver Chamber Music Society for an unforgettable evening as Trio Seoul invites you to embark on a soul-stirring odyssey through the annals of history and the depth of human emotion.

Tickets are $40/$20 available by calling 604-359-9738 or online at: www.vancouverchambermusic.com/trioseoul.
