Vintage vehicles take centre stage in Ladner

Old-time trucks and tractors will be on display in Ladner tomorrow at the second annual Kirkland House Vintage Truck & Antique Tractor Show.

Old-time trucks and tractors will be on display in Ladner tomorrow at the second annual Kirkland House Vintage Truck & Antique Tractor Show.

Event coordinator James Price expects to see up to 100 this time around, including some that weren’t quite ready for last year’s inaugural event.

Price says people have stopped him on the street to talk about the event, adding it has sparked some interest in the community.

There will be a wooden toy derby where kids can build and detail a wooden tractor or truck.

The event will also include an old-time motor display, a cakewalk, live bluegrass and country music, a display from the B.C. Farm Museum and more.

Visitors will also be able to tour the heritage house, barn and grounds.

The show takes place Saturday, June 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kirkland House, 4140 Arthur Dr., Ladner.
