The Lighthouse Church proudly presents live in concert for their very first performances in Ladner, Vancouver’s Harmonia Ensemble string orchestra and The Vivaldi Chamber Choir as they present Tony Lee’s production of Joseph Haydn’s 1786 masterpiece The Last 7 Words of Christ.
This is an Easter tribute concert-oratorio, which will appeal to those wanting a special Easter experience as well as to lovers of classical music and choirs.
This production features nine members of Harmonia Ensemble string orchestra and 20 members of The Vivaldi Choir, including several choir soloists and their artistic director, Edette Gagne.
The Vivaldi Choir will fill the church’s stage with the Harmonia Ensemble orchestra playing on the floor close to the audience, resulting in a wonderfully intimate performance in the true style of chamber music.
The 7 Last Words of Christ concert takes place at Lighthouse Church (5455 Ladner Trunk Road) in Ladner, Sunday March 24 at 3 p.m. with doors opening at 2:30.
Tickets on sale now online on Eventbrite and in person at Lighthouse Church for $20 until March 17 and $25 afterwards.
