The Ladner United and Wildebeests women's soccer teams co-hosted the second annual Party for Play 2.0 at Sharkey's Seafood Bar and Grille in Ladner last month. The event raised $2,826 for the Delta chapter of KidSport Canada.

KidSport's mission is to ensure no kid is left on the sidelines and all kids should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. Money was raised through ticket sales and silent auction. This year's event was completely sold out.

The two teams would like to thank Sharkey's and the wonderful staff, the Camille Garvey quintet, DJ Larry, as well as local businesses and individuals that supported the event. The teams look forward to hosting Party For Play 3.0 next spring.
