Auxiliary's Christmas shop gets big donation from Town Centre

The Delta Hospital Auxiliary Christmas store got a sizable boost to its inventory Wednesday thanks to the Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall.

The Delta Hospital Auxiliary Christmas store got a sizable boost to its inventory Wednesday thanks to the Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall.

The mall has purchased a new Christmas set and was looking to unload its old decorations, said promotions manager Shannon Taylor.

She said it took three vans and a trailer to transport all the seasonal items to the auxiliary's Christmas shop in Ladner.

"We took our trucks over and gave them everything that had been on display over the last 15 to 20 years," Taylor said.

A large sleigh was sold right away for $250.

"We had barely unloaded the trucks when it sold.

That's fantastic."

The Christmas store, which is open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., is located next to the auxiliary's main thrift shop on Delta Street.

Taylor said the mall has gone with a winter-beach look for its new Christmas décor.

"It's completely different, completely brand new."
