Beach Grove Laser Clinic has a new treatment aimed at turning back the hands of time without surgery or pain.
The Tsawwassen-based skin care clinic will unveil its latest addition, Venus Freeze, next week at a special open house.
Mary Seitz, a registered nurse at Beach Grove Laser Clinic, calls the Venus Freeze treatment "the new facelift of the future."
The machine can target any part of the face or body, helping to tighten skin, reduce the look of wrinkles, and temporarily reduce cellulite and circumferential fat.
"We're very, very excited," says Seitz. "People are already looking forward to it."
The Venus Freeze harnesses the power of multi-polar radio frequency and combines it with pulsed magnetic fields. The combination has the ability to penetrate the skin deeply to help stimulate the body's natural collagen, which declines as we age.
Unlike many other anti-aging treatments, such as botox, lasers or chemical peels, as well as surgical procedures, the Venus Freeze treatment is quick, painless and requires no down time.
The initial results are immediately apparent and the only after effect is a little temporary pinkness.
"It's fantastic on the eyes," Seitz says.
She recommends a series of six weekly sessions for the face and eight for the body, followed by less frequent maintenance sessions.
It has been cleared for use in North America by both the FDA and Health Canada, and the treatment is offered in more than 40 countries around the world.
The Beach Grove Laser Clinic open house is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 29 from 3 to 8 p.m.
Seitz says staff will be offering free Venus Freeze demonstrations and will have two machines running side by side. There will be special event pricing as well as goodie bags and refreshments.
