Better Still Day Spa has a new location in the heart of Ladner.
Owner Laura Gardiner moved her home-based business to its new space in Ladner Village two months ago.
"It's been going really well," Gardiner said, adding she has already had to hire an additional esthetician.
Better Still's brand new space offers clients a quiet place to relax and take care of themselves, even if it's just for a little while.
"For me, it's about taking those times to slow down and be still," Gardiner said. "Consciously taking time to be still for a while."
Gardiner has 10 years of spa experience under her belt. She started her
career at Atlantis Day Spa in Tsawwassen before moving on to work at another home-based day spa in Cloverdale. When it closed in 2006, she opened Better Still Day Spa in her Ladner home in 2010.
One thing Gardiner said she has always tried to do is keep prices reasonable.
"I don't want going to the spa to be a guilty pleasure, or something you just do on your birthday," she said, adding she has tried to keep her prices low so her clients don't have to compromise when it comes to taking care of themselves.
"For me, the whole purpose of the spa is to be friendly, professional and to keep prices reasonable."
Better Still offers a full range of spa services, including manicures and pedicures, facials, body treatments and massage, as well as hair removal and eyebrow and eyelash tinting.
Better Still Day Spa (105-4841 Delta St. at Bridge Street) is open Monday and Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Gardiner said they are looking at extending hours in the summer.
