The Delta Chamber of Commerce presents a half-day Tsawwassen First Nation Economic Development Update event next week at the Delta Town Country Inn.

"It offers a unique opportunity to network, learn and hear first-hand about the largest development of its kind in the history of our community," the chamber's website states.

Presentation topics and presenters, as listed on the website, include:

Working Effectively with Aboriginal People Mini-Workshop - Bob Joseph, founder and president, Indigenous Corporate Training Inc.

Economic Development Overview - Chris Hartmann, CEO, Tsawwassen First Nation Economic Development Corporation

Residential Update - Kevin Hoffman, senior vice-president, Aquilini Development and Construction Inc.

Retail and Commercial Update - John Scott, senior vice-president, Development, Ivanhoé Cambridge

Retail and Commercial Update - presenter to be confirmed, Property Development Group

Industrial Update - Geoff Heu, senior manager of development, Great West Life Realty Advisors Inc.

James Moller, general manager of CrossIron Mills in Calgary, will be the keynote luncheon speaker and will address the topic: "CrossIron Mills - A Retail Destination Case Study: Who We Are, How We've Grown, Who We Serve and Where They Come From."

The session costs $99 for chamber members or $109 for future members.
