Delta TV is up for two awards this year in the CCSA Tuned-in Canada awards for excellence in local programming.
"We are so excited to learn that Delta TV has been shortlisted in two categories," said Tannis Goodfellow, Delta Cable's sales and marketing manager. "We have a passionate commitment to the communities we serve and take a great deal of pride in our local presence both at the community support level and through our local programming."
In the category of Community/Public Service, Delta TV has been shortlisted for its work with Delta firefighters giving local, underprivileged children a holiday to remember. Delta TV employees packed boxes, loaded them into vehicles and delivered them to Deltassist and the East Delta Hall, where firefighters helped unpack and arrange all the toys, bikes, games, etc. to ensure youngsters could experience the magic of the holidays.
In the category of Best Sports Coverage, Delta TV is a finalist thanks to its efforts to provide unparalleled sports coverage, including junior hockey, basketball, baseball, football and more.
Operated by staff and volunteers, Delta TV delivers high quality local sports broadcasts showcasing games and compelling stories of local teams and athletes.
