DEME provides one-stop shopping for new moms

DEME Pre and Postnatal Services could be called a one-stop shop for moms and moms-to-be.

DEME Pre and Postnatal Services could be called a one-stop shop for moms and moms-to-be.

Owner Dani Enskaitis wanted to take full advantage of all the services available when she was expecting her first child but found it took up a lot of her time finding those to provide them.

"I thought it would be so great if it was all like a one-stop shop," says the Tsawwassen mom.

So, she started DEME Pre and Postnatal Services.

The new business offers a variety of skills and services, from birth and postpartum doula support to nutrition, personal training, photography and yoga, from certified, educated, and experienced professionals.

The seven-women team is mostly from the South Delta area, says Enskaitis, a birth doula that now has two young kids.

Tsawwassen's Kate McNulty, who has a twoyear-old and another baby on the way, is a personal trainer with DEME.

"This just seemed like a really great, fun thing, a bunch of moms getting together and being a group."

Ladner's Tanya Armstrong does yoga with DEME.

"Dani approached me and I thought it was such a great idea. I wish it was something that was around when I first got pregnant," she says.

"Recognizing the need to consolidate the number of services available to busy new families, DEME Pre and Postnatal Services is a collective that provides the convenience of offering all services necessary to promote a healthy, natural pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum at your fingertips," the business' website states.
