Local Cold Stone Creamery locations, including the one in Tsawwassen, were serving up more than just ice cream recently.

On Sunday, Sept. 11, between 1 and 4 p.m., each location served up ice cream by donation and also donated all sales of ice cream treats that day to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of B.C. & Yukon.

The four Lower Mainland locations raised $6,000 -- enough to grant a wish.

M&M Meat Shops National Family Dinner Night last week raised more than $58,000 for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada.

M&M Meat Shops, including the Tsawwassen location, challenged families across Canada to plan a family dinner and then register online. For every registration, M&M donated $1 to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada.
