The Delta Chamber of Commerce announced chair and founder of Concerned Citizens for British Columbia Jim Shepard will be a guest speaker at a luncheon meeting later this month.

Shepard, who left a post as a $1-a-year adviser to Premier Christy Clark to form the citizens movement, is a former Canfor and Finning CEO.

His group is working to get Clark's government re-elected next May.

"He represents a group of people from around the province who have come together to support free enterprise government," the chamber's site states, noting that Shepard is "touring the province to meet fellow concerned citizens to talk about the importance of electing a government that will promote our continued prosperity."

The luncheon will be held Nov. 29 at the Coast Tsawwassen Inn from 11: 30 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m.

It costs $35 for chamber members and $45 for non-members. Register at www. deltachamber.ca.
