Gallop wins Ovation Award

Local design build team Sarah Gallop Design Inc. recently won the Best New Kitchen under $100,000 at the Greater Vancouver Home Builders' Association 2016 Ovation Awards.

The annual awards recognize excellence in renovation, new home construction and design in Metro Vancouver.

"The issues around affordability and densification are actually great drivers for builders, developers and renovators looking at new ideas, and push the building envelope with leading-edge, awardwinning solutions. It's an exciting time for housing choice in Vancouver" said Bob de Wit, CEO of the GVHBA.

Island Express Air this week announced the addition of Comox Airport to its roster.

Starting May 16, the airline will offer daily service between Comox and Boundary Bay Airport, Abbotsford and Victoria.

Island Express began operating out of Boundary Bay in March 2014.

Starting in 2009 with just two aircraft, the company now has six planes.

The Globe and Mail recently named Deltabased LMI Technologies one of the 50 top medium-sized workplaces in Canada.
