A long-standing South Delta business has added a new and much needed service to the area.
DeltaGeeks.net, which has been a staple in Tsawwassen for almost 10 years, recently brought in ink and toner cartridge refill services.
Owner Abbey Warder said she's noticed over the years that many of her customers were unhappy with the high cost of replacing their printer ink cartridges.
"People almost get angry at the price they have to pay for ink," she said, adding there is such a small mark up on those products that sellers can't afford to offer discounts.
Warder said there are people who will simply discard their printer when the ink runs out and buy a new one - often sending the old one to the landfill.
"This is ugly and we really need to start thinking about that this is unacceptable," she said. "That is so vile when we know what is going on in this world."
In an attempt to curb that practice locally, and help customers save money, Warder made the decision to bring in the refill service.
DeltaGeeks.net is now able to refill most brands of ink and toner cartridges. Warder said customers using this service can expect to save at least one-third and up to 50 per cent off the cost of buying a new toner or ink cartridge for their printer.
"I believe that this is a win-win situation and the timing is excellent because people are hurting (financially). We see it everyday," she said.
Warder said when seeking an ink cartridge refill, it is important that consumers go to a reputable company.
"We use inks and toners of the highest integrity."
DeltaGeeks. net is also still South Delta's go to destination for computer service and repairs.
